Bringing luck and good fortune

Immerse yourself in the Lunar New Year Lion Dances, a Chinese tradition that dates back more than 1000 years.

Performing to the sound of drums, marital arts performers from The Dragon Style Kung Fu Association, in larger-than-life lion costumes, will mimic lion movements as they perform traditional floor routines and demonstrate kung fu stances. The performances are thought to ward off evil spirits, bringing luck and good fortune.

We will have 2 lion dances throughout the festival in Harbourside, starting at Pancakes on the Rocks and concluding in the Food Court.

Friday 31 January at 7pm
Sunday 2 February at 7pm

This year, The Dragon Style Kung Fu Association will be donating 100% of all red packets they collect from customers and stores to the bushfire appeal. If you would like to make a donation please bring it along with you on the day.
