What is the first thing you will do when lockdown ends?

Well the lock down has been a challenge for all of us mainly because we couldn’t meet our friends and family and couldn’t go out. The first thing that we would like to do will be to organise a gathering with friends and meetup party. We would have a chance to see each other in a very relax environment and share our thoughts and experiences.

What TV shows, movies, podcasts, or books have you watched/listened to/read during lockdown?

I have been watching a lot of different historical movies, documentaries, and educational videos thanks to streaming apps like, prime video and Netflix. We really enjoy watching documentaries related to World War 2. Additionally, we've enjoyed watching historic series like Vikings, Knight Fall, Battel of Troy and some romantic dramas including the one starring Australian heartthrob Adam Demos.  Overall, it was a very good experience and we have had plenty of time to watch and enjoy some of the best dramas and movies over this lockdown period.

What does your ideal weekend look like?

Our ideal weekend after a challenging and tiring week would look like going out with friends and family for a day out to the beach followed by a delightful dinner. We also like going out on short trips to the countryside such as Robertson and enjoy the quiet and natural sceneries.

How do you stay connected with your friends, family, and community during lockdown

Thanks to social media live video streaming apps we usually stay connected with friends and family through WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram. It’s fun but nothing like face-to-face meetings or actually meeting in person.

What are you grateful for during these challenging times?

The last 1-2 years has really been challenging and has affected us in one way or another but I am grateful that I haven't contracted the Covid-19 virus and have been safe until now. I am hopeful for the future as well thanks to the swift vaccination drive by NSW government. I'm also grateful to have a job still going on site as we are part of essential workers which has really help us financially and mentally. Thanks to our job we don’t have to spend these challenging days stuck inside our homes for the past 3 months.

What do you love the most about your job

Security can sometimes be challenging given that we have to deal with range of different situations in different conditions, but in Harbourside we are fortunate enough to have a very great team. Everyone from Centre Management to security to cleaners, all are very supportive and work as a team which in fact is the most interesting part of our job and makes our job easier. Furthermore, the different relevant training exercises provided to our team by Centre Management is the best part where we have the chance to learn a lot on how to deal with emergency situations and other important topics. We have the best Centre Management team who provides us with all the support and assistance that we need to perform our job more effectively and they are one of the reasons we feel happy and relaxed working on this site.
